In Nikola Tesla Branch School in Moravice, it is always a lively atmosphere and a sign of projects in which students are very happy to participate. They combine their knowledge, speaking skills in a foreign language, and, no less importantly, creativity and originality. And our students have a handful of that!
After covering the teaching contents related to the house (rooms in the house, space outside the house, furniture), 5th-grade students were tasked with creating a house of their own choice, which they then presented in English. They were familiar with the evaluation components in which they actively participated since they evaluated classmates' works attentively following their presentations and the peer assessment components sheet.
Oral project presentations are an excellent way for students to decrease their fear of public speaking, improve their presentation skills and have fun along the way!
On 7 October we visited one of Crotian national parks which is also the oldest one. We had a lot of fun on the way there...as well as on the way home...At first the weather was cloudy but it wasn't raining. However, our luck didn't last...During the second half of our sightseeing the rain started...and we hurried to the bus...Some of us got wet more than others.
Despite the weather we had the best time ever!
P.S. It was also our teacher's birthday and our present to her was a folk song wishing her to live until she's 105 and then all over again!
